Folks, we love a good Spidey epic, and this Fall, the world of Spider-Man as we know it is going to be turned upside down as the Jackal makes his grand return, and with him, an offer to bring back the departed loved ones of all of Spider-Man’s greatest foes.

That’s right, the Sinister Six is returning… and these iconic bad guys who have almost all been defined by the tragedies that have befell them and their loved ones — are now given the chance to have their loved ones brought back to them!

What does the Jackal want in exchange? Loyalty.

And, to what end? Well, that’s what we’re going to find out in DEAD NO MORE: THE CLONE CONSPIRACY.

And it all starts on 8/10/16 in the pages of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #16 – BEFORE DEAD NO MORE CHAPTER 1!

So, read on, Third Eye Faithful, and get the full scoop on the biggest Spider-Man storyline to come down the pipeline in the last few years!

1smallasm20DEAD NO MORE: THE CLONE CONSPIRACY – In the grand tradition of major Spidey stories like SPIDER-VERSE, ENDS OF THE EARTH, and SPIDER-ISLAND, the CLONE CONSPIRACY will be the raddest Spidey story you’ve read in years!

OK, first of all – we all know that Spidey has one of the best Rogues Galleries in comics, seriously, only rivaled by Batman’s, in our opinion.

So, when you have a storyline that’s basically delivering ALL of the big Spider-Man bad guys, AND the promise of some very status quo-changing events — well, you know you’re in for a real treat!

Writer Dan Slott has proven time and time again that he is one of the best Spider-Man writers of all-time, and we feel that DEAD NO MORE: THE CLONE CONSPIRACY may be his best Spider-Man arc yet. Yes, even better than his incredibly popular SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN era.

See, DEAD NO MORE: THE CLONE CONSPIRACY doesn’t just hit one corner of the Spider-Man universe, it hits ALL the major foundations of what makes Spidey who he is, and what he’s about.

We’re talking killer, iconic bad guys. We’re talking the deaths of Gwen Stacy, Captain Stacy, and Uncle Ben. We’re talking the Jackal, and we’re talking the Clone Saga.

These are all major points in the history of Peter, and we’re super stoked to see a true Spidey maestro like Slott exploring them!

And, c’mon: many of us who grew up in the ’90s have some very fond memories of SMOKE AND MIRRORS, and a good chunk of the Clone Saga stuff – so, we know that many of you are just as stoked about seeing the JACKAL back in a big way as we are!

DEAD NO MORE gives way to the CLONE CONSPIRACY in October!

So, while we count down through August and September in the pages of DEAD NO MORE as it grows in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (beginning with AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #16, available 8/10/16), everything will erupt into all out war in CLONE CONSPIRACY #1 this October!

In THE CLONE CONSPIRACY 5-part mini-series, the Jackal is back after having conquered death itself.

Now, the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is outmatched by one of his most iconic foes’s army of Spider-Man rogues, and even more frightening: he finds himself questioning if he should stand in the Jackal’s way if he’s found the key to bringing back the dead and promising eternal life.

Catch Up On Pivotal Stories That Paved the Way for DEAD NO MORE: THE CLONE CONSPIRACY

We know you’re stoked about DEAD NO MORE, and are probably curious about some of the more iconic moments that characters like THE JACKAL and the SINISTER SIX have seen, so we’ve put together a few of our favorite graphic novels that capture these stories and recommended them to you.

So, first off, SPIDERMAN: THE COMPLETE CLONE SAGA Epic Collections, are pretty much THE definitive starting point for all things Clone.

In this classic series, Spider-Man’s clone is back – and the real Spidey is beside himself! Peter thought his clone was long dead, but where has Ben Reilly been for the last five years? Why has he returned? Is he Peter Parker’s dark side…or his better half? And does Miles Warren, the unbalanced Jackal, have anything to do with it? Everyone wants answers, and the cloaked killer Kaine is ready to rip them out of whoever has them! Plus: Venom and Vermin! Carnage and Chameleon! New allies, new enemies and a new crimefighting identity! No other Spider-storyline was as innovative or infamous as the 1990s Clone Saga, and you can follow it right from the start!

We’ve got all the installments of this series in stock to get you started, along with the subsequent Ben Reilly Spider-Man TPBs that follow in it’s wake.

While we actually prefer more modern riffs like IDENTITY CRISIS and INFINITE CRISIS as solid entry points into the lore of the DCU, there’s no denying that CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS holds up as an incredible, and timeless read that captures the energy and the heart of the DCU perfectly.

Next up, is the original source and starting point for the Clone Saga as we know it, which is the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: THE ORIGINAL CLONE SAGA trade paperback.

This classic story is where the Jackal first made his mark on Spidey, and it still stands up as a fantastic read.

In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: THE ORIGINAL CLONE SAGA TPB, we’re asked to remember the good old days when Spidey’s life wasn’t very complicated?

When evil scientists like the Jackal sought to destroy him?

When Gwen Stacy showed up on his doorstep, suddenly alive?

When a morning spin in the Spider-Mobile was interrupted by an attack from Mysterio?

When Carrion sought to strangle the life out of him time and again?

See the original clone saga unravel as Spider-Man tries to keep up! Collecting AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #139-150; and PETER PARKER, THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (1976) #25-31, #149, #162-163 & ANNUAL #8

With the SINISTER SIX playing a major role in DEAD NO MORE, we wanted to spotlight some stories that feature them in a big way, and RETURN OF THE SINISTER SIX is definitely a good one!

In this graphic novel, Doctor Octopus is putting the band back together!

But who will join master planner Otto Octavius in the most Sinister Six of all?

Spidey is about to find out, but defeating this sextet of his most ruthless foes will test him like never before — and in the aftermath, Peter’s tremendous sense of responsibility will lead him to give up his powers! Is this Spider-Man no more?

Normal life isn’t so great when the Scorpion attacks, and the Black Cat must leap to the rescue.

Fingers crossed that the web-slinger will be back in action by the time Venom returns, the Avengers assemble and Doctor Doom arrives in town!

Plus: Peter and Mary Jane’s romantic getaway in Scotland turns into a haunted second honeymoon! Collecting AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #334-350 and SPIDER-MAN: SPIRITS OF THE EARTH.

After all the things we’ve been through with ol’ Otto Octavius in the last few years, we’re pretty pumped to see him back in action in a big way with his return in DEAD NO MORE, and we just know he’s going to be a MAJOR focal point to the story.

And, there’s no better place to get a good grasp on what’s been going on with Doc Ock than the modern classic, SPIDER-MAN: ENDS OF THE EARTH, available now in graphic novel.

This is where all the mayhem that gave birth to SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN and more first began, and this tale holds up as a major turning point for both Peter and Otto.

In ENDS OF THE EARTH, Dr. Octopus is dying.

But in his final days, he has developed technology to repair the ozone layer.

He says all he wants is to be remembered forever as the human race’s savior, and it seems the world is ready to play along with him and his Sinister Six.

But not Spider-Man.

Burned countless times in the past by his arch-nemesis, Spidey’s not willing to accept Doc Ock as a selfless benefactor.

Unfortunately, that sets him – not Octavius – as Global Enemy No. 1!

How can Spider-Man save the day when Doc Ock, the Sinister Six and, indeed, the whole planet, are intent on hunting him down?

Guest-starring the Avengers, Silver Sable, Big Hero 6, Union Jack and more! Collecting AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: ENDS OF THE EARTH, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #682-687 and AVENGING SPIDER-MAN #8.

And, finally, we had to spotlight SPIDER-MAN: DEATH OF THE STACYS, which collects two of Spidey’s biggest tragedies into one volume.

With rumors swirling around the fates of Gwen Stacy, Captain Stacy, and even Uncle Ben.. we’re not sure WHO may remain DEAD NO MORE, but we can say this: aside from UNCLE BEN, there’s no other moments in Spidey’s life that are as impacting and important as the Death of Captain Stacy and Gwen Stacy.

Spider-Man’s career has often been shaped by tragedy, but rarely as much as in the story of the Stacys!

Two of Spider-Man’s greatest enemies, Doc Ock and the Green Goblin, made comic-book history by killing the wall-crawler’s police-officer mentor, Captain Stacy, and his first true love, Gwen — events that affect the Marvel Universe to this day!

Guest-starring Iceman of the X-Men! Collecting Amazing Spider-Man #88-#92 and #121-#122.
